We have been passionate actors and experts of the web since its dawn and our will is to help improve it further by contributing our knowledge to the community. Open Source is our philosophy, and it guides us on our way to finding new solutions. So far we're best known for our work on APE (Ajax Push Engine), and all of our projects are designed to Improve the web.

Weelya first got started in 2008 from the vision of four gentlemen that have been working together for over eight years. Artists and passionate actors, Weelya includes the people you see below.

Florian Gasquez

Oriented Object Diet Coke

Florian's intern CPU is diet-coke-cooled. While he have no visual memory at all, he can materialize in his mind billions of oriented-objected lines of codes. His life is organized in classes, but he have no garbage collection at all. PHP master, he's coding faster than his shadow. By the way, as he have several level 80 characters in World Of Warcraft, you should never dare to attack him. Procrastination addict, he never delays when he loves.

Nicolas Trani

Master Div Injector

As the muse and model for the APE logo, he preserves his all-time geek beard. JavaScript Guru, he spends all his days injecting HTML elements in web pages. Main developer of the APE JavaScript Framework, you should never dare to criticize Mootools, or say JQuery is better. Well, he's definetly mad for milk. Thinking he can invent new mysql functions, he's more than qualified to handle all the subtleties of the javascript language. Unicycle rider, he doesn't understand why all the other bikes have two wheels.

Anthony Catel

Chief of Hacking Departement

Born in Paris, he fell into serious hacking during his childhood. No more coding from jail or hospital, he is now the lead engineer of the APE Server. He barely knows how to display a div in html, but he got a PHD on hashtables and byte optimization. The K&R book on the C language is by his bedside, and he spends his time researching how to improve his work. Convinced he has been Michael Jackson in a parallel world, he really doesn't know how to dance, but he knows how to code.

John Chavarria

CEOCP

As the Chief Executive of Copy Pasting, John is the lead designer of the Weelya team. Spending his time drawing APEs on his graphic palette, he's also in charge of web design. He grew up near Montpellier (France), where the virus of the Internet got to him when he was only a little boy. As a former DivX employee, he loves to work in a good atmosphere. According to him, he's always the leader on all Teeworlds Death Matches. Guitarist and macfag, he loves to be criticized by all his linux-friends.
